Andre Zagorski is a Senior Principal Technical Advisor. He develops strategies and interventions to ensure universal access to quality medicines, pharmaceutical services, and new technologies in line with donor and global goals. Mr. Zagorski has over 25 years of global TB, infectious disease, and essential medicines project management experience in Europe, Asia, and Africa. His technical areas of expertise include: health systems strengthening; medicines policy and regulation; market management; safety of medicines; antimicrobial resistance; rational use of medicines; quality assurance; supply chain management; introduction and programmatic implementation of new medicines and regimens; development and use of pharmaceutical management tools; management information systems; monitoring and evaluation; and capacity building.
In his current position, Mr. Zagorski is in charge of MTaPS’ Global Health Security Agenda portfolio of activities in 12 countries, including Bangladesh, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Côte d’Ivoire, Ethiopia, Kenya, Mali, Mozambique, Philippines, Senegal, Tanzania, and Uganda. He is guiding COVID-19 response activities, including the development and monitoring of country-level work plans, to ensure that support is of the highest technical quality, consistent with USAID requirements and mandates.
Mr. Zagorski holds a master’s degree from Moscow State University and is fluent in English and Russian.
