US Ambassador visits Dhaka hospital to support frontline health worker training

In early September, H.E. US Ambassador Mr. Earl R. Miller and USAID Mission Director Derrick S. Brown visited Kurmitola General Hospital (KGH) in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The visit was to recognize and support the work of USAID MTaPS program to prepare and train the doctors, nurses, and other health workers at COVID-dedicated hospitals.

A Quality Improvement Program for IPC Launched in Kenya

Approximately 10% of hospital procedures in low- and middle-income countries result in a health care-acquired infection. Containing those infections is an integral component of a quality health care system and is particularly critical as the world grapples with the COVID-19 pandemic. It’s also key to containing antimicrobial resistance.
