About Us

We were a national organization that worked to expand access to medicines and health services to the world’s most vulnerable.

The Medicines, Technologies, and Pharmaceutical Services (MTaPS) program (2018–2025) was created to help low- and middle- income countries strengthen their pharmaceutical systems. More robust health systems ensure vulnerable people have access to life-saving medicines that are accessible, affordable, and improve health outcomes.

Over the past five years, MTaPS helped 16 countries across Africa and Asia respond to health emergencies, including preventing maternal and child deaths, working to eliminate TB and malaria, contributing to efforts to end the HIV/AIDS epidemic, and protecting communities from infectious disease threats.

MTaPS helped countries strengthen their pharmaceutical systems by reducing supply chain breaks to ensure medicines reach the end user, establishing sustainable funding models to support the continuous availability of medications, and training health care workers to meet the needs of their populations.

MTaPS was funded by USAID and led by Management Sciences for Health and its consortium of partners.
