Mapping Pharmaceutical Expenditure Data Sources in Indonesia

Indonesia faces challenges in the comprehensive tracking and analysis of pharmaceutical expenditure (PE), a key factor to consider when trying to lower health care costs. In an effort to build capacity in-country and to establish more comprehensive information systems for tracking PE, MTaPS started providing technical assistance to key stakeholders in 2020. This technical brief summarizes MTaPS support, the landscape report outlining PE tracking sources in Indonesia, and recommendations for the Government of Indonesia to ensure sustained PE tracking.
